Grand Theatre: a good performance for the orchestra conducted by Pier Carlo Orizio. Last night, in occasion of the 4th edition of the “Concert for the children”, the hall was crowded. The concert was specially devoted to the children from Myanmar and from Tondo, near Manila, in the Philippines, where a school and a hospital were built thanks to the Onlus “Una mano per i bambini”.
The second half of the performance was beautiful too: the young and full of talent pianist Irene Veneziano played as soloist the Piano Concert in A Major K488 by Mozart, wonderful pages which had their poetic climax in the second movement.
Of course, the perfect mutual understanding between soloist and orchestra played an important role in this part of the concert; we could also hear it in the sprightly and really fascinating “finale”.
